The City of Auburn Plan Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 6:00 PM in the Norman E. Yoder Council Chambers, Auburn City Hall, 206 East Ninth Street, Auburn, Indiana. At the Public Hearing, the Plan Commission will consider recommending the formal adoption of a new Comprehensive Master Plan titled, Auburn 2040: The Road Ahead developed in accordance with Indiana Code 36-7-4-500 Series.
The City of Auburn last adopted a Comprehensive Master Plan in 1987. Auburn 2040 is the outcome of a two-year community engagement process focused on creating a unified vision for future growth and development; developing policies to improve livability; establishing clear guidance for decision makers; and developing implementation strategies in a user-friendly document. Auburn 2040 includes the following chapters: Introduction, Community Profile, Recommendations, and Implementation. The document also includes goal statements and associated policies for Land Use, Arts & Parks, Downtown, Housing, Transportation, Local Government & Services, and Economic Development.
